Here's a link to the map of the Everglades in Dade and Broward, north of Everglades national park. The levee system is pretty extensive. Yes, you are right; it is not very interesting hiking compared to Everglades National Park or Big Cypress, but its what we have in Broward to hike.

Marc D. said:Well , I will be hiking with my dog sometime this weekend also. I won't have a lot of time to hike this weekend so I'll just hit the levees in Broward county Everglades off US 27 for a few hours..

Hi guys,
I am going to hike the Arbuckle Tract near Frostproof. I plan to begin on the northern end of the trail and travel counter clockwise. It is about 19 miles. I will be solo unless anyone wants to join in. I will go out to check it out this week someday so I can begin Friday night after I get off work.
I might hike Cypress Creek again or J.D.S.P. if anybody is interested in doing.
I would like to be there early, around 7:00a.m.-7:30a.m.
There will be some water on the trail. I usually bring a pair of lite water shoes with me.
I'll be in Big Cypress, FT north of I-75 on Sunday with my kid, for a little exporation on the blue loop, not too far in.
Hey what time, the north trails I love I do them a lot

Remember I am not going on a long trek, because I'll have my daughter, so I'll be out there for just for a few hours. She likes hiking, but she'll only be 7 in June, so I can't go too far. There's the big blue loop, but then there are some smaller loops too.
