There is also a section west of Grassy waters, down aways. It's a Natural Area and has some great views. It's across a shopping area and has a brown gate.

We did visit the section north of Northlake Blvd. One of the trails was closed but we did the Eagle Trail. Very nice. I saw a group of deer.

Check out the area across from Grassy Waters. There are two trails there and are pretty cool to walk on.

Chris and I hit this place over the weekend. It was cool, but meleluca invasion everywhere. Fun trail, but I am getting fussy about my native plants. Grassy Waters Preserve though was gorgeous! I am looking forward to canoeing there.

I was just at Corbett this past weekend myself. I was surprised to see as much water on the trail as there was. I do live a little further north so I guess there could have been more recent rainfall here compared to where I live. Tons of beautiful w…

There are some old trucks and cars still out there along some hiking trails. This area was a place to go mud riding on your ATV's before it became a park.

Sure, we can plan that. Give me a call when you're back in town after NYC.

I'll hike it with you. I'm out of pocket due to my daughter's graduation this weekend, and a trip to NYC the following weekend. After that, I'm open if you feel like waiting. If not, have a good hike!

Apoxee is a great place to hike. Remember we were in a drought for two years. I think we are back on schedule with the rainy season now. This place is known to hold a lot of water. I'm glad you had a wonderful time exploring the park.

Apoxee/Grassy Waters Preserves(WPB)

I did some day hiking in these two adjoining areas the other day.
