Day Hike - Camp Blanding / 1/11/09

Despite having read that Camp Blanding would be closed to hiking in the month of Jan 09, I called the number to inquire if I could hike it. Range Control said there would be lots of 'troops hitting the ground', but I was welcome to hike if I called when entering and leaving the Camp. My friend and I were quite excited at the trailhead, when we crossed the fence to the sounds of automatic weapon fire.
