My hardcore river traverse was at Hal Scott. It was either go back the way we came for 4 miles or get the feet wet in the cold water. Needless to say I don't like seeing the same stuff over again.

Chris, I always feel a lot safer in the woods than I do on the street. I can only think of one time I ever even felt uneasy, and that was in a semi-urban park that I probably should have had better sense than to go to anyhow.

My girlfriend and I just started getting into hiking in Florida to start the new decade off. We LOVE all of it. Have been to 6 places in January and look forward to going somewhere every week. We didn't realize how many places there were around us.
