Lori, were you looking for the Footprints trail or the hiking trail at the Babcock Wilderness Adventures? I'm headed down there in a couple of weeks to look for both.
If you hike with your own kids, your grandkids, nieces and nephews, organized groups like Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, here's the place to discuss best practices and best trails.
ME AND MY 4 CHILDREN, AGES 4, 5, 7 AND 9 YRS WALKED LEISURELY ABOUT 3 MILES. I WAS UNABLE TO FIND THE HIKING TRAILS ON THE MAP AT THE PARK BUT WE FOUND THIS ROAD AND WENT OFF OF IT A FEW TIMES TO EXPLORE. WE SAW HONEYBEE HOUSES, LOTS OF ALLIGATORS,…

- Lori, I did Caloosahatchee Regional Park for 50 Hikes in South Florida ... my circuit (loops and round-trip) was 3.4 miles. I didn't cross the road or use any of the biking / equestrian trails. Hope that helps ... it's a nice park! Will share info on Babcock when I return.

- Most certainly! My hiking started in NJ as well ... I grew up there and Mom & Dad always took me out in the woods. The AT ran within sight of our house. There was even a trail between home and my elementary school and that was how I went there for six years. ;-)
