LOL so the is no winning for us then lol I am on the web now to buy one thanks can I filter water there?
yesterday
Filters are no good out there. Very little fresh water out there to be found. The raccoons will bite into plactic jugs to get to fresh water. We need to secure all our food and water when camping. Does your filter, filter out Saltwater? LOL

What is the biggest mushroom you ever saw?

I was in Cypress Creek Natural Area hiking today and saw this huge Mushroom. It was the biggest one I have ever seen. Look at my GPS! This thing was huge. It was sitting on top of this cut down Australian pine tree. What is the biggest mushroom you have seen?

Thanks for taking us on this great adventure; it was one of the best weekends of my life. You open my eyes to a lot a new things and most import to new trials.

This was our third hike and I know there will be many more.

Thanks a lot! My copy of Sandra's book arrived yesterday afternoon also, so I should be prepared for my first "real" hike on a major trail. I am hoping to do this this weekend. You mentioned extra water -- I have one 2L hydration pack. What's the best way to carry more water? Should I bring a filtration unit?

Hi footTRAX. I am guessing you would know, in terms of hours, how long does it take to do the East Trail Loop at JD? Thanks!
