Who is on the FT this week?

Well, I took Mingo, Bluegill and Trailtalker up to Rodman Dam today to start their week long journey up to Gold Head Branch. I am meeting them Tuesday afternoon for a food drop. Somewhere off 100 out our Palatka. I know this morning the water level on this first leg was over ankle deep and the temps are expected to drop into the 20's tonight. So, we will see how they fair. We had to take a picture of them actually crossing over the locks as "proof" they crossed it....hahahah

I'm about to drive over to ONF to dayhike some part of the trail, I haven't even decided which. I was in Juniper Wilderness a few weeks ago, I may shoot for a section in a longleaf island this time.

Comment by Sandra Friend on February 13, 2010 at 10:18pm: I spoke at the FTA Central Chapter meeting Thurs eve and there was a thru-hiker visiting the meeting ... she'd done much of her planning here on this website! Can't imagine slogging in ice cold water. Ick. But she's a triple-crowner so she knows her stuff.
